Drupal 4.7 Wiki Module - "Liquid"

Hi,

I work for a charity called U Can Do IT (www.ucandoit.org.uk) which is in the process of revamping its website to use Drupal 4.7. As part of this revamp I am trying to get a wiki installed on the site to act as a repositry of advice to do with basic computer use.

Reasons for running common codebase for multisites? Tips?

I've read several threads about using a common code base for multi-installs of Drupal...and am sure this seems like an obvious question to anyone who has run multiple installs before - but I couldn't find where anyone actually mentioned how/what using a common codebase makes things easier.

Please Advise Me: Restricting Access with Groups

I need to put together a site with some static content visible to all visitors, and a larger members-only area with all the bells and whistles: individual blogs, contributed stories, events, and organic groups. Some of the access control modules would seem to work well for my needs, but I keep reading that you can't use them with OG; I want to be able to use the OG functionality, and I need to know if OG is going to also work well for access control.

So, I need to ask:
1.) Is this going to work by using the OG module's access control based on taxonomies?

How much RAM for a Drupal 4.7 / Linux VPS?

Hello,

I am shopping for a Linux VPS, on which I will run several
Drupal 4.7 based websites.

The only parameter I'm frankly unable to judge myself is the minimum amount of
RAM I should ask for, to make sure that that doesn't become the bottleneck. Assuming I have a pretty realistic idea of how much traffic I'd get in my the first year, how should I map that to RAM? Of course, even cpu speed is important, but that is something you can't change on a VPS plan, unlike RAM. Let's also ignore bandwidth, for simplicity.
