Ive installed and have been playing around with Drupal 4.7 recently to create a travel website. Ive tried playing with CCK and views and a few other modules but I cant seem to get everything worked out. Problems with images and problems with layouts and getting things the way I want. Below I created 2 images in photoshop that illustrate how I would like my website to look. Can someone please verify if this is possible.
I've been trying to figure out how to change the subscriptions module to support notifications based on a set of vocabulary selections and not just one. Let me explain.
Say you have Vocabulary A with Items A1, A2, A3 and Vocabulary B with items B1, B2, B3
Currently, with any of the notification modules and more precisely Subscriptions Module, you can subscribe to be notified of entries in one vocabulary item.
You subscribe to A1 and you get emails for entries in that category.
I need to build a website for a small town / village and am wondering if Drupal is the way to go? I'm willing to invest time learning Drupal if the end result is what I need, but would appreciate knowing if my goals are within the realms of common Drupal.
I'm interested in creating a blog that shows a timeline of events in the
1800's. Other than Wordpress and iWeb, I've found no blogging software
that will enable me to pre-date posts 2 centuries back.
The ability to add categories and/or tags is also important.
Can Drupal enable dating posts into the 1800's, and keep the dates in
historical chronological order, not the actual posting date, as I add them
in the coming years?
Is there a way to make a story item to forum topic automatically. I'm only interested in having general news as a forum topic for my users to discuss. Is this possible?
It would be nice if there was generated a link automatically to the forum topic after the news item has been posted. This is not a requirement - but it could be nice! :)
Is there a way to show content depending on language on the frontpage?
I'm not thinking about flexinode or the i18n-module - but my title-image - which I would like to have in different languages. Maybe this could also be used with banners without using the banner-module.
I'm looking forward to hearing from either of you...
