Drew began working on the web in 1996, founded Gorton Studios in 2001 and built a great team focused on serving cultural, media, education, governmental, NGO, art and non-profit organizations. We also built a product, NodeSquirrel, which was acquired by Pantheon in 2015.
At Pantheon, Drew built the Developer Relations team and helped grow a 50-person company to a value of over $1B in a July 2021 Series E funding from SoftBank.
In 2022, Drew left Pantheon for a new adventure and now leads Developer Relations for NEAR, a carbon-neutral web3 platform intent on providing tools to make the open web more inclusive and sustainable.
Drew has a broad range of interests, has lived and worked in Asia, Europe and North America and speaks several languages.
