To empower the next generation, maintain a prominent global footprint, and retain their position, INSEAD recognizes the vital need for a more agile, efficient, and unified digital platform.

Why Drupal was chosen: 

The client's objective was to migrate from their legacy Drupal 7 environment to the latest version of Drupal to elevate the overall digital experience, enhance engagement and streamline user journeys for all the stakeholders. Drupal and some of the Acquia products were identified as the best tech stack to achieve this goal. Additionally, Drupal fulfilled the following crucial requirements:

INSEAD wanted to:

  • Migrate from their legacy Drupal 7 CMS to the latest version of Drupal while preserving content integrity and website performance.
  • Boost user engagement and satisfaction by implementing an advanced search feature to enhance site usability.
  • Centralize organizational goals by tapping into multiple departments unique ideas to create a unified vision.
  • Standardize brand guidelines across multiple digital touchpoints for a stronger brand identity.
  • Enhance editorial experience and streamline workflows.
  • Optimize website performance and improve user experience.

Our Solution:

In this project, our objective was to create a powerful digital presence for our client, seamlessly integrating technology with strategic business goals and fostering growth and success. To achieve this, we implemented the following solutions:

  • We seamlessly migrated from Drupal 7 environment to the latest version of Drupal, using a single code-base. We built a core profile for easy onboarding of new brands and efficiently configured multi-site setup while managing content migration via a combination of manual and automated processes.
  • We built advanced program finder search, which is designed to create personalized pathways for prospective students. To support this, we've integrated with Tealium, a customer data platform (CDP), enabling us to capture user actions and construct detailed user journey maps.
  • We created a component library featuring 100+ reusable components–all centralized within a standalone storybook repository–to unify brand elements.
  • We streamlined event, form, and program creation to enrich the editorial experience. Through reusability, we reduced the number of forms from 250 to just 30. We introduced creative dashboards, content templates, customizable layouts, etc., to streamline editorial workflows and media management.
  • Implemented department-specific content tagging to improve content organization and searchability within and across departments.
  • We facilitated a smoother website loading experience with animation effect by meeting performance benchmarks that drove high traffic and conversions.
  • We ensured seamless integration with third-party platforms like Salesforce, Magento, Blackthorn, Kaltura, AKDMIA, and Eventbrite.
  • We introduced marketing automation through native Eloqua forms, adopted a hybrid architecture for mobile app content via REST API, and enabled content push on mobile applications through Paddix integration. This also helped in streamlining editorial workflows.
