Hello- as always thanks for this module- it truly is a huge help!
I just got the following email from Google so it appears this module is now in need of even more updates (in addition to (http://drupal.org/node/1092142)
Hello,
Thank you for participating in Google Product Search. We are reaching out to you to inform you about important changes we’re making to our Product Search attribute requirements for unique identifiers and tax and shipping information.
Starting May 3rd, 2011, we’ll require your product listings to include at least two of the three unique identifiers (Brand, MPN, GTIN). In order to provide as much information as possible to our users, we need your help in matching your products to our "product pages", where users are able to view useful data such as product specifications or reviews. While these attributes will not be required for your data feed to process correctly, they may prevent your items from appearing in Product Search results if not included. For more details, including what specific identifiers you should include for each category of item, please see our Help Center at http://www.google.com/support/merchants/bin/answer.py?answer=160161
Starting June 6th, 2011, we’ll also require your product listings to include tax and shipping information to provide buyers with important price information. This information will be required at either the account or item level (in the “tax” or “shipping” attribute) in order for your items to process and appear in Google Product Search results. For instructions on how to include tax and shipping information, please visit http://www.google.com/support/merchants/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=160162
Please update your account settings or data feeds as soon as possible to ensure that you are complying with these new requirements by the dates specified above. For more information about these changes, please visit our Google Merchant blog at http://googlemerchantblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/changes-for-google-produc...
Sincerely,
The Google Product Search Team
It would be wonderful if this module could be updated to comply with Google's updates and/or those offering to co maintain this module could be allowed to do so (http://drupal.org/node/1080876)

SchwebDesign commentedbumping this since May 3rd, 2011 is only a few days away- coming up fast. What do we do if we never hear from this project's maintainer? arpieb has offered to help here: http://drupal.org/node/1080876 , but there's still been no response from the maintainer.

jasonabc commentedrecent announcement by Google concerning lots of new required fields that need to be added to any feed/CSV etc:
http://www.google.com/support/merchants/bin/answer.py?answer=188494
This will require a major reworking of this - and any other module - that deals with generating feeds/files for inclusion in Google Shopping.

edav commentedI don't understand the slang here - but I'm also in need of this module to work with the new requirements google have set -
So can anybody sum up what's the obstacle here? no one to maintain the module? no developer? or no budget?
Maybe we can do some joint sponsorship - what's the budget quote here?

Nick Wilson commentedCount me in for $50 - if someone else will come up with some as well we can put a bounty on this in the developer forum?

Nick Wilson commentedI have this working for UK and US. I had to pay £100 for it and have recouped £50. If you want the code, you'll have to drop me £25 via paypal.
Only works for UK/US. Contact me through my profile here if want to get it.
SchwebDesign commentedNick Wilson, sounds promising. I'd be happy to send 25 your way for the working module (whats your paypal). I suppose the next question is: what do we do about getting the updated version here on the module page. Has anyone heard from compujonny?
Nick Wilson commentedSchwebDesign I'm not sure how to get the module on here. Im certainly willing to release the code once I have yours or another £25 - that way at least the updated code could be helpful for anyone who wants to overhaul this module.
My paypal is nick@friiswilson.com - it's late in UK so I'll get to it in the morning. Go ahead and send me an email at the same address if you want to talk offboard.
thx!

jasonabc commentedNick - does your module include all the latest requirements Google added (http://www.google.com/support/merchants/bin/answer.py?answer=188494)??
This added requirements there are currently no fields for in Ubercart such as UPC code, product variants (color, material, pattern, size etc). If your code means this module meets the above specs then I would gladly pay 25 quid for it.
Nick Wilson commentedJason I think it just requires the minimum stuff on that page. I know it works for me, and that I have to put in a new MPN each time I resubmit the node but other than that Im not certain on all the specifics.
Anyone who wants what I have, as it is can drop me £25 but I make no promises and can't provide support.
Having said that. I'd gladly co sponsor a serious rewrite of the entire thing (right now it does not even have a "feed", it's all done by node submit) but most here seem to want it, but not badly enough to pay for it. (nothing wrong with that, but it probably wont get this module built anytime soon..).
SchwebDesign commentedNick Wilson, I've sent you the £25. Would you mind just posting the module/code here? That way we could all move forward from this... Thanks!
SchwebDesign commentedAttached is the updated module I received from Nick Wilson (thanks!) per http://drupal.org/node/1116172#comment-4874972. Lets start testing it and discuss what's next.

craigmc commentedAll-- I'm working on taking over maintaining this module. Have reached out to compujohnny and will post progress on this in this thread: http://drupal.org/node/1080876

joshfromdallas commentedAnyone know how to make Nick's module work? It says it is linked and I have my Account ID in there but what do I do now?
Also is there any module like this for Amazon or other shopping dbs.
Nick Wilson commented@joshfromdallas if it's all linked, you should be able to fill out the details under "UBERCART GOOGLE CONTENT API INTEGRATION SETTINGS" on each roduct node. You'll need an MPN number and a category, but that's about it. (MPN can be anything. I use the products SKU)
joshfromdallas commentedThanks Nick I see that now. Once you do that, do you have to submit a file to Google or something? Or how does that work.
Nick Wilson commentedNo, you just submit the node. It's not great. There is no detailed error reporting if Google decide they don't like it for some reason but it does work. Best of a bad situation till we get this new module all fixed I guess.

Poieo commentedHey Guys. I can't connect to my Google Merchant account. If I click on the link on the settings page that says "You must sign in to your Google Account" and sign in, I get the following:
The page you have requested cannot be displayed. Another site was requesting access to your Google Account, but sent a malformed request. Please contact the site that you were trying to use when you received this message to inform them of the error. A detailed error message follows:
The site "http://mysite.com" has not been registered.
But, the site is registered with Google Merchant. Any ideas?

imrubio22 commentedHey Poieo,
Go to https://www.google.com/accounts/ManageDomains and enter your site domain. If you access the Drupal Admin through https then make sure the domain you enter also includes https://. Also, if your site redirects to www.mysite.com then make sure you include the 'www'.
I hope that helps.

shv_rk commentedHi there,
Our client has requested a full intergartion of his drupal + ubercart website with googleshop.
basically he needs to be able to auto populate his product into his googleshop.
A successful transaction should update the stock on the site.
I have been searching a lot for this. I found a module which populates the products into the googleshop however it was old. apparently googleshop AIP has changed.
http://drupal.org/project/uc_gbase
and i am not sure it even updates the stock.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks.
shv_rk commentedhi,
I have installed the new plugin you have added here,
however i am getting this error:
user warning: Unknown column 'product_brand' in 'field list' query: SELECT submit_type, product_name, product_type, product_description, product_brand, product_gtin, product_mpn, product_condition, images FROM uc_gbase WHERE nid = 2569 in C:\xampp\htdocs\pxxx\sites\all\modules\uc_gbase\uc_gbase.module on line 381.
