This is def planned to happen. I haven't even started on it though so feel free to pick this part up and write a patch.

I think http://drupal.org/project/graphapi can provide this views integration.

Please give it a try to generate a Format: Graph rendering | Graphviz Filter output style to check all needed data is available.

When useful this module only have to implement 3 hooks. My guess is most code is already implemented by thejit to convert (core) graph.inc structure into Vizstruct.

Note http://drupal.org/project/graphapi and http://drupal.org/project/thejit currently generate graphs.
