The field audit report page, showing fields, notes, and feeds information.

This project is not covered by Drupal’s security advisory policy.

Many institutions have either legal requirements to audit data usage, or have data owners who want to periodically audit where their data is being used. This module adds an Administrative note to fields that only users with "manage fields" permission can access, and can be used to record approvals for field usage, or any other notes intended for high-level users. It also provides an Audit report which shows every field in your site, the administrative note, and any Feeds importers that map to that field.

To add an administrative note to a field, edit it via the Manage fields page of any entity; for example, a node type under Admin > Structure > Content types.

You can generate an audit report under Admin > Reports > Field Audit. This report allows you to show only fields for certain entities or entity types (i.e. all nodes of type "article"). If the feeds module is installed, any feeds that map to that field are included in the report.
