Translated view cannot be sorted

I have a view with one of the fields being "Taxonomy term: Name (translated)" however there is no associated sort term, the closest being "Taxonomy term: Name (ASC)" -- the translation itself works fine but the sort can ONLY be in original language order .... example:

English [original] => Fishing, Flying, Golf
Spanish [translation] => Pesca, Vuelo, Golf .. (should be Golf, Pesca, Vuelo)

So my English View looks fine but the Spanish looks like near random order!
