This project is not covered by Drupal’s security advisory policy.

This project allows you to deploy content between multiple sites with the click of a checkbox.

Many organizations have multiple websites, and a publishing workflow which requires content created on one site to be streamed to one or more other sites for distribution. This project sets up a content deployment system which allows the content creator to simply click a checkbox on the content creation form for each site the content should be deployed to. When the form is submitted, the content (along with any files, images, taxonomy terms, etc. that are associated with it) is sent to the sites whose checkboxes are checked and published there (and, if necessary, removed or unpublished from the sites whose checkboxes are unchecked).

The system can also integrate with the Workbench Moderation module, so that only content which has been reviewed and is ready to be previewed or published is actually deployed to the "live" sites.

Installation

This project relies on a number of others to work correctly, including:

It also relies on a few patches.

Right now, the best way to get started with it is therefore to use the Shared Content Demo distribution, which will allow you to see how the system works without any setup required.

The code in this project will likely work on production websites (earlier site-specific versions of this code are live on several websites already). However, it is still under active development, so use it at your own risk.
