The Marketplace section on Drupal.org has been revamped through major changes. Most of it happened a couple of weeks ago, but some are as recent as this week. This post will give you quick overview of what has changed and what you need to know and do right now to keep your Marketplace listing up-to-date.
If you don't want to read all the details, jump to What is going on next, that is important for your listing.
So what changed?
The structure
When the work was begun the old services pages (part of the handbook) were removed and the new marketplace was titled “Marketplace preview.” That interim title is gone, the old handbooks are gone, and the Marketplace now has 3 sections:
Hosting section stayed completely the same. As for the other two - there are some updates.
Drupal Services now has 2 listings: Featured providers and All providers, with Featured section being the landing page of the Marketplace.
We developped a software for Internet portals to let their users log in at any PC via their smartphone - instead of password. This way the user does not need to memorize the password neither the username, neither does he have to type them - the smartphone does the job.
I have now uploaded Release-1 of the Ànfàní EHR - an easy to use and electronic health records framework for hospitals and health centers . Th Ànfàní EHR project project , which was developed around a Drupal framework was initially created for developing countries, so ease of use was a priority. The modular design enables users to decide whether to stick with the basic system which is just for medical records keeping or install order modules (e,g drug dispensing, accounting). It is offered as FREE open source software .
We will be taking drupal.org down for 30 minutes Tuesday, September 18, 17:00 PDT (Sept 19 0000 UTC). This outage is to update site code and re-hash user passwords, increasing their security. When the site returns, users may find that they cannot login. We will be processing the re-hashing incrementally over the evening, with the most recently active accounts processed first. Users unable to login should wait 15-20 minutes and try again. If they really need to login, they can request a password reset, which will continue to work as normal.
