Having worked the last five years as a Drupal freelancer, getting involved in the Drupal Community as both a Sprint Mentor and member of the Drupal Community Working Group, I spent four years as the Drupal Association’s Community Liaison, helping the Drupal Association understand better the needs of the Drupal Community and to help the Community better understand how the Association supports us all.
Having since spent two years with the Digital Impact Alliance, a part of the United Nations Foundation, looking at how Digital Public Goods are used in lower and middle income countries around the world, I have been able to build an understanding for where Drupal fits into all this.
I have now taken on the a role to build a great training, mentoring, and development programme with an awesome team of Drupal creators at Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
Of course, I still continue to be a part of the Drupal community as a Core mentoring Coordinator, helping to ensure that we create the next generation of Drupal contributors. Why? Because I love it!

Code of Conduct Contact for DrupalCon Vienna

These days I find I spend more time hanging out in the various sprint rooms of camps in Europe, helping those that have never thought to venture into sprinting before. For me, seeing someone who I have mentored through to their first contribution be recognised gives me far more of a buzz than being recognised myself.
I’ve now become involved in helping to arrange the mentored sprints at DrupalCon Dublin and there is so much to do!! It’s such a good opportunity for anyone who has never been involved in contributing to Drupal before - come along, it’s not just for coders!!
