I am wanting to create a small block in my drupal site which links to my Public Google Calendar and shows the next upcoming one or two events. I have tried many options but none seem to work.
Preferably I wanted to use the Gdata api to import my content but there seems to be an proxy issue with this on godaddy hosting making it overly complicated.
I have also tried the RSS Aggregator, Calendar module and events module. none of which seem to solve my problem.
Google Calendar provide a XML and iCal feed and I am happy to use either.

The problem with the Google
The problem with the Google Calendars XML feed is that they arn't listed in date order so I cant take the feed and grab the first one. They need to be sorted by date first.
