Thanks for a great mod. However, simply having the most recent posts in this kind of block isn't its best use. Obviously I think a lot of people would love to see this with Views integration, as then you could select which fields to display, which might be radically different than the node's teaser. However, since that might be difficult, I thought I'd offer a couple other alternatives:
Taxonomy: If the block (or in the admin) could be configured to only pull content types that met a certain taxonomy, that would be an easy way for a user to select which ones they want to feature. A user could create a taxonomy term for "slider" and be ready to rock.
Sticky: Perhaps only show the ones that are marked as Sticky, or otherwise use the "published to front page" functionality. At least if you use something that is native to the core, you won't have to keep up with everybody else's constant upgrades.
Thanks again!

Marko B CreditAttribution: Marko B commentedI would also like somethint like this, views probably more. As this is not much useful for something more than basic site. Most ppl would like to use it with automatization from views. Adding last 5 nodes from specific taxonomy and/or node type or something like that.

It should support both. It would add a lot more value to the module. For example, I don't want to feature the 'latest' 5 nodes. I want to put 5 nodes into the slider that are flagged as 'Featured' in the system.
Does anyone know if Table Wizard will bridge the gap for now until views is supported for FCS?
