YouTourney is an interactive, user-content driven, Drupal-based web application that makes running video competitions easy. YouTourney helps answer the question "Which video is the best?" through popular vote in head-to-head video matchups. Tournaments, entry nominations, and votes are all user-submitted. Much of the main functionality of YouTourney is based on such modules as Embedded Media Field (Video embedding and display), Voting API (Vote tallying), and CCK (Content type customization).
I launched a local news aggregation site last week at http://www.gladmo.com. Would love to get any feedback or ideas to make it better.
A little background: The town I live recently had its community newspaper close, so there's really no local source of news other than the KC metro daily nearby. I wanted a site where I could find as much information as possible about my community in one place. I also just wanted a new site to help me learn Drupal better.
Drupal Terminal is a gallery for the best websites from around the world built with Drupal. You can upload your Drupal website and get promoted to the front page. Note: all submissions will be reviewed by our technical staff.
I even wrote and asked why they were not showing a link back, and ex post facto, the only links that showed up in view source were the CSS. No mention of Drupal in the view source any more.
Users can create artist, art movement, and museum pages. Users also have their own blog, can join groups, and talk in the forums. Users have their own profile pages and their own galleries. Users can contact each other using the contact form and private messaging. Users receive points for content they create, logging in, and posting statuses.
So many people have asked me to teach them Drupal that I am hoping this site will be useful to those who want to teach and those who wish to learn the fabulous thing called Drupal!
I am building a learning/teaching hub at drupalconnection.com
Drupal Kitchen is a part of the hub and is now open for people to meet and learn Drupal.
I would love any feedback and/or offers of help to increase the usefulness of this site for the community!
