Olympic Peninsula Tourism website

We present to the Drupal community, the Olympic Peninsula!

Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission

We wanted a site that was organized, clean and tied together by location. We flirted with the idea of using the infant Geo Module as opposed to the mature Location Module, but quickly abandoned that avenue when we offered help in developing the module and the response was send money. So we went with Location and its multiple pages of bugs, seriously, pages, but in the end it proved to be a good choice. We tackled a couple of feature requests within the module, including a proximity filter for the Views 2 module which allowed us to display the nodes within a set amount of miles from the current node being displayed. You can see an example of this use in the blocks on the right of this page. We were also able to use some of the existing Google Maps Modules to display the location of various nodes based on their taxonomy.

FLE Presents.com - Bar Crawls

www.flepresents.com

In college my friends and I would organize a bar crawl twice a semester for all our friends, and we would make a day of drinking, all day, going from bar to bar in our college town. We'd start at 10:00 a.m. and go as long as we could, they were great!

Anyway, we've been out of school for more than a year and a half, and have yet to have one. So finally the next bar crawl has been organized and we thought a website would be the easiest way to include everyone.

SportBusiness.com relaunch

SportBusiness Group is the world's leading supplier of information, media and B2B marketing services to the sports industry and, with its network of partners and agents, assists companies from all over the globe in achieving their business goals.

The latest incarnation (site version 11, 3rd Drupal version) of the Sportbusiness.com website has finally brought us into the world of Drupal 6. We initially moved the site over to Drupal almost 3 years ago (back in the Drupal 4.7 days) after months of data conversion from a proprietry Oracle-based CMS. We've never looked back. The upgrade to Drupal 6 has just finished; the site has been redesigned and several major changes have been implemented.

Getting up to 10,000 page impressions a day certainly doesn't make this a high-traffic site by comparison to some of the other sites we have at Electric Word plc (parent company to SportBusiness), but the visitors to the site demand equally high levels of quality and content. This was something we had to maintain from previous releases.

Marina meets the Mountains!

Well, I have not Drupaled around in a fair while.

All I can say is the themes are getting smarter and easier to edit all the time.

I am still working on "Marina meets the Mountains" as i am still brushing back up on a very rusty and old CSS skills!

However suggestions are always welcomed as I really see promise in this theme - probably why that clever guy wrote the code!

I am to much a photographer so my Drupal skills will be limited until I have simply more time to really build a theme and website that will really make my business jump to the next level.
