Here is my website developed by me only, with the help of Drupal 6, because 7 is too new to me and I just love 6 Drupal 7 because I've manage to learn a lot about 7 and I now like it very much.
Back in 2009 we built this site using Mediawiki. In 2010 we ported it to Drupal 6, and just today I finished upgrading the site to Drupal 7. Drive the Americas is a wiki in that anyone can edit and contribute information. We have a very active user base and average around 150-200 unique visitors every day.
Here is a site I've put together for a Steel Fabrication and Installations company, it's built with Drupal 7 using a nice clean looking theme called "Touch"
I built this site when I was back-packing around SE Asia over the winter 2011/2012 and highly customised a responsive theme to create the parrallax page transitions when clicking and the menu links.
A lazy-load ajax call is made after the front page is rendered to pull the other pages content and place them in location so that all content exists on page before a click on any menu item is made. This means pages can transition gracefully without the need for page loads.
CSAIL is the largest interdepartmental lab at MIT with over 800 members. The list of computer science rock stars in residence is impressive, to say the least - including Sir Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web and current director of the W3 Consortium. Take a look at the site. We're really quite proud of it. http://www.csail.mit.edu/
