I just wanted to write a post hear thanking the development team for their excellent work thus far with Drupal 6. I've been working with the beta version for only a few days and I've had a fun time making themes and remaking a website that my friends and I use to keep in touch.
With Drupal 6 I've finally been able to make all the changes I've wanted to make for years. I'm looking forward to seeing more modules adopt the tpl.php methodology so that I can customize those modules to look exactly the way I want.
I have installed Drupal, gotten the FCK editor installed with no problem, and enabled the editor to upload files in the advanced editor. However, I have a problem with uploaded images.
When editing a story, I can write a sentence, press return, upload and insert a picture, and then post, but the image never shows up on the front side of the site. Not even for the admin...
I found this to be quite odd and thought it would be an image display permission of some sort, but I can't it find anywhere, in any of the installed image or fckeditor modules.
I just set up a multisite installation with Drupal 6, and everything seems to be working fine except that it says CLEAN URLS are not configurable for the add on sites. The strange thing is that it is letting me run clean urls on the default site. Does anyone know why this would be, or what I could do? I know that Apache is set up for it--it is already doing it! What are the possible factors that would make it not let me run clean urls?
hello everyone. i'm new to drupal. i am wondering what modules do i need if i want to make a sort of library for books using drupal.. users can view the the books owned by another user. they can review it, upload pics of the book, add some info on the book, search, etc... any suggestion is appreciated. thanks!
So I thought I'd give Drupal 6 a spin on MAMP. I have Drupal 5, Wordpress, etc, etc all running but can't seem to get Drupal 6 up.
I use phpMyAdmin to make a database and user, then go to my directory and unpack drupal 6... it all shows up fine. But right after the page where I enter my database name, etc and hit continue I just get a blank screen. Just white. Nothing. I reload, etc but nothing.
I'm frustrated.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there something I need to do for mySQLi databases as opposed to mySQL databases?
Please help, I've tried to figure it out whole day, but failed....The second installation step, setting DB name and user-name.
