Progressiverock.com launched a major refresh of its long-standing website today. The site now uses version 6.x of the Drupal content management system, including Karl Giesing's Discogs module and the Timeline module, maintained by Felix Delattre. The latter is an integration for the JavaScript timeline widget developed by MIT's SIMILE project.
For a few years I have been basing my personal web comic on a different CMS system, until it started breaking itself with security upgrades. So finally I decided it was time to stop banging my head against the wall trying to fix the issues, and move on to something better.
I have been running my personal website and portfolio on Drupal 6.x for a few years now so I decided to take the plunge and migrate my web comic to Drupal also; and since I was starting from scratch I figured I might as well try to build it on Drupal 7.x.
Hi, I have been working on a website that I would love to put on here and possibly get any feedback from this community. This is my first site I have created with Drupal (besides my portfolio site). The site is called www.spiffiedeals.com. I have been working on this site for the past few months. I would love any feedback or ideas that I could use to improve the site.
The goal of spiffiedeals.com is to be location based and to give community users an area/place to list specials, deals or bargains going on in their community. I tried to accomplish this by giving users the ability to create topics on the site with 3 main topic types; forum topic, groups with group topics and a custom type called deals.
Seeing how this is my first Drupal site I wanted to learn as much I could when creating it. So, I decided to design a custom theme for the site, panel layouts are custom, plus I create a custom advanced forum theme.
