I've been doing drupal sites for sometime now but I haven't been very focus on it and I must admit there are a lot of mysteries in drupal that I am not aware of and Im just starting to scratch the tip of the iceberg.
I had a lot of fun putting this Clan site together using Drupal 6.16 ( it just went up a few days ago and have a lot of tweaking
to do - but the foundation has been set. ) The initial page is for guests only -- once accepted into the clan all features native
and by added mods are included for the users. The screen shot does it no justice. Back to work.. a lot of css to tweak.
GetaGame.org is a project that has been created with the sole purpose of strengthening grass roots football and enable football loving athletes to find and locate new teams, be it in your surrounding area or anywhere in the world. The goal of the site was to create a worldwide database of football teams and provide location information as well as contact details. The site can be used to find new teams for those relocating, attracting new players, organisation of pre-season tours.
The Theme
Getagame.org was designed by my myself using a few images from iStockphoto.com and implement using a theme called Framework found in the drupal.org theme library although the theme page.tlp and css file has been almost completely overhauled and is probably not so recognisable.
We have tried to keep the version 1 of the site clean and simple. We do have plans to upgrade features to include skype integration and more in the version 2.
I've just launched Version 1.0 of the blog with my custom theme. I still have a bit more work to do with it, but I'm ready for people to have a look. Please check it out at http://blog.marceisaacson.com and let me know what you think. Give me some ideas of how it can be improved.
PulpMX.com was launched in early 2009 as a place for well-known motocross columnist Steve Matthes to post his musings about the sport and its history. Originally conceived of as a modest site, it was built in early 2009 using a stock theme with a handful of custom images, the FCKeditor and IMCE modules to provide a built-in visual editor, and little else. Over time it had grown organically as needs developed: CCK, Filefield, and SWF Tools for posting audio interviews in a built-in player, for example. In early 2010 PulpMX also took on discussion forums from a site that was no longer able to host them, so an existing phpBB installation was also imported.
The site was developing a growing following and it was becoming obvious that it needed an overhaul to better reflect the character of the site, and provide more cohesive and initiative navigation among the quickly expanding areas of the site. Says Steve:
Originally I had gotten Tooth and Nail to design me a basic site for blogs and photos, what they gave me was way better than I had thought I needed. The traffic and the new media things that I was doing (podcasts, slide shows and a live internet show) demanded that I get something new and fresh. I was now big-time I suppose.
