Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group

I just finished rebuilding the Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group website in Drupal 6

http://www.nmpg.com

This is a site for a group of physicians affiliated with Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. We had launched a new look and feel for the site a year ago, so this project basically entailed swapping out the backend (db driven XML/XSL) with Drupal. Nothing fancy Drupal-wise (we had to host/wrap the appointment request pages because we were hosting the site externally but collecting patient info internally) and in just two weeks we've seen huge improvements SEO, traffic, site performance and improved user experience.

A couple of modules that made the project SO EASY:

  • CCK for custom content types for physician profiles and locations
  • Backup and Migrate - made migration from dev to staging to production simple simple
  • CKeditor and CKEditor link (makes linking to internal drupal content easy)
  • IMCE - no more FTP! easy to browse and upload PDFs and images

Reworked site from Dreamweaver to Drupal 7

I have just finished reworking www.charityquin.com from Dreamweaver to Drupal 7. Already having experience with Drupal 6 I did this primarily as a test exercise to check out some of the changes in D7, also to allow the site owner to change her own page content and start a blog.

I used Zen as the starting point for a custom theme. The result does not look at all like a Drupal site but illustrates the flexibility of the theming system, mainly just by using the style sheets.

Old School Hostel

The site can be found at www.oldschoolhostel.no .

This is the first time I have used drupal modules to create javascript slideshows, with the Dynamic Display Block module, which works well although it is a little on the bulky side. Other than that the site is a fairly standard setup, with lightbox2, wysiwyg and poormanscron.

tomgeller.com: Two sites merged, redesigned, and upgraded to Drupal 7. Comments wanted!

After a much longer process than I would have liked, I've updated tomgeller.com to Drupal 7.

Along the way I merged it with my old portfolio site (gellerguides.com) and made fundamental design changes. I wrote a bit about the process on my blog, at http://tomgeller.com/upgrading-and-redesigning-tomgellercom-drupal-7 .

CommonPlaces develops Merchant Warehouse site on Drupal

CommonPlaces recently launched a new website for Merchant Warehouse.

Merchant Warehouse has been providing merchant account services, credit card processing, and credit card terminals to retailers for more than ten years. Their existing website was built with a content management system that was difficult to use and limited what their site administrators could accomplish. They were also looking for changes to the look and feel of their existing site.
