Travel Photography webite: www.veoelmundo.com

Hi Everyone!

I've been using (well learning) Drupal to host my site for the last 6 months - just thought I'd put it out there for any comments or ideas - especially if anyone spots anything that I should have done..

I know most blog-type sites are hosted with things like wordpress, but I must say starting as a complete beginner, I liked the look and feel of Drupal, and the amount of options it opens up to make a site look less like a blog.

Family Website Powered by Drupal

I have been spending an inordinate amount of time developing a website for my family (www.famcloud.com). I thought I would throw it up here for some feedback. It is basically just a glorified family picture blog, but I have pulled in several other bits of functionality. Some of that is invisible to anonymous users, but we have a google calendar that we pull into the site through using feedapi into Calendar views. Automatic updates are sent to the grandparents through notifications and messaging.

Smart Ideas on Facebook

Articles from Smart Ideas are now also available on Smart Ideas on Facebook. The users can browse the articles by categories and by tags. They can also search articles using search terms. Users can publish feed stories easily into their profiles based on articles here. They can either indicate they like an idea (Like link) or they can describe their experience with an idea (Tried link).

Smart Ideas on Facebook is a canvas application. www.ideas-smart.com serves FBML (Facebook Markup Language) to the Facebook canvas. FBJS (Facebook JavaScript) is used to do the animation and create feed stories.

The implementation consists of a Facebook module that generates FBML for the canvas pages and handles AJAX calls, and a Facebook theme that contains most of the FBML markup and several overrides of theme functions from other modules. This was taken over from Dave Cohen's Drupal for Facebook.
