Contrib modules version 5.x status - Module maintainers please read

• Node clone - should be easy, sometime soon after RC.
• Content moderator - don't know; will require conversion to an access control module- co-maintainers and/or assistance wanted.
• OG mandatory group - should be relatively easy, sometime soon after RC. May need a few words of advice from a guru.
• event with volunteer timeslots - depends upon the event module, so I'll have to help move the event module to 5.0 before I update this module.

...and possibly later than that, unless specifically sponsored by one of Lullabot's clients or something. The only possible exception is Module Builder, since that's a developer tool. Of course, anyone is welcome to submit patches and I'll review them as time permits. :)

Instead, the focus of my free time until then is going to be on bug fixing/polishing core... I want to do what I can to make sure the 5.0 release really shines. :)

I do not expect to move modules to 5.0 until I'm over with a fairly large site, probably January 2006, until someone has a specific urgent need. Modules are listed below

I am looking at the latest CVS of Drupal 5.0 and will be testing Lightbox V2 with that, but I probably won't commit any changes until the first RC.

Decisions is in the process of converting to 5.0 and will attempt to support all beta releases as they occur. Backwards compability with 4.7 will also be maintained for as long as possible in CVS.

Also, I should disclaim that Decisions is dependent on VotingAPI.

Wishlist.module will be ported to 5.0, but I don't think I will get a chance to start on it until after the first RC. I've got a fairly large Drupal site I am working on that will need 95% of my outside-of-real-job attention for the forseeable future.

Just started updating the front page module with new features for 5.0 .

It's a simple module and won't take long.

Totally Agree with Robert Douglass's comment earlier about shifting resources onto a few key modules.

The front page would not be considered as "vital" as the modules Robert mentioned, but, as I said, it won't take long to update and I'll make sure it's ready soon.

eventrepeat is being held up by a major bug in cvs. Once that hurdle is overcome, a new 4.7 will come out, followed by a 5.0. Might be a while, but it is coming.

i just updated the table with all the projects i personally maintain, plus 2 of the ones i'm helping with (dba and devel). summary: devel should be ready now, but is just waiting for the DRUPAL-5-0 branch. everything else is blocked on me finishing the new system for releases, at least getting the foundation in place. sadly, dba.module still hasn't even been ported to 4.7. :(

The 5.0 release of Acidfree will be a complete rewrite that uses the Image, Video, Taxonomy, and Views modules. So naturally, it will depend on them. But so far, their CVS versions are working fairly well (or have patches in the queue that bring them up to date). I will do my best to get Acidfree 5.0 out the door in time for the Drupal 5.0 release, but there are no guarantees. To cover all my bases, though, I will be releasing an acidfree-legacy module that is just a simple port of Acidfree 4.7 to 5.0.

I would say that currently Acidfree is about at 50% completion and is making progress most every day. So I am very hopeful that it will be ready for the big day.

Will hopefully have Voting module operating correctly by the time RC1 comes out, and will bring it up to date with 5.0 at that time. Possibly swapping out the Flash bits for jQuery bits.

I'm working with jjef and webchick on a 5.x update of the modr8 module. My similar module, content_moderator, will probably not be updated and users referred to the modr8 module instead. An initial update of modr8 is available as a patch at http://drupal.org/node/91883

URLify - works with 5.0-beta1, the little testing I've done anyway. I may still do some refinements to make it more 5.x friendly but it works as is now.

Search config - Not sure when I'll get to this. There is now a permission to enable the advance search in 5.x so that should be sufficient for now.

Accents - Should work with 5.x as is, haven't tested it though. I'll update it soon if it is needed.

I'll be updating fileshare for 5.0 most likely within a month or so. Thanks! 5.0 looks great!

Some additional info about CCK for 5.0. It works fine with latest cvs of Drupal, but not with beta-1. If you use beta-1 you need to overwrite the node module files in beta-1 with the latest cvs version of the node module files (from http://cvs.drupal.org/viewcvs/drupal/drupal/modules/node/) to pick up a couple recent changes.

For 4.7 gordon announced the ecommerce release date the day after 4.7 hit the shelves. It was 1 month from then. I expect it will be the same or shorter this year, however the list of unsupported ecommerce contrib modules may get longer.

I intend to start porting after the first RC.

Update process for link to content is at 25% but completition will be not until february 2007 (because of my winter exams).

The new 5.x release is completed: 5.x-1.x-dev.

The HEAD version of event works with 5.x, there is already a 5.x branch, I'll make a release when either D5 is released or the missing contrib modules are ported.

I've done some work on updating the Liquid Wiki module to work with 5.0, but I don't see any way to contact the project maintainer. Anyone have any ideas on how I should proceed??
